Our new site offers your kids a ‘new and improved’ club on a beautiful campus with plenty of outdoor space, a gym, more programs and classes, and larger game rooms.

But the improved facility is costlier to operate. The cost of serving one child is now around $3,500 each year. Most of this cost is provided by gifts from individuals, corporations and foundations. Less than ten percent of our income comes from government sources.

Yet after much anguish and debate, we find it necessary to increase our annual membership to $100 per year, with a sliding scale for additional children in the family. This may be paid quarterly at the rate of $30 per quarter.

‘Scholarship’ assistance for those families that cannot afford to pay all of the increase will be available. No child will be turned away.

Considering anticipated expenses for the coming year, this fee increase may not be enough and it is possible that we will need to increase it further. We hope to start a parents committee to help us avert this possibility as well as give parents an opportunity to play a larger role in the life of the club.

We also plan to increase our efforts to encourage families to donate to the club. Gifts from families do two things. First family gifts, whatever the size, are testimonials to the value of the club and encourage giving by the broader community. Second, voluntary family support gives those who are able to do more than meet the minimal fee an opportunity to help their kids’ club mates, whose families can not.

A gift can be made directly by check, cash or by payroll deduction via the United Way #937789 (ask your employer how you can do this). Other convenient ways are to have your bank setup an automatic monthly deduction from your on-line checking account or use Pay Pal to deduct the gift from your credit or debit card.
